Description:
The Role: The Communication and Engagement Manager develops and implements strategic communication strategies and activities in support of policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement, in particular on issues relevant to public health, biodiversity conservation, novel technologies and sustainability. This includes taking the lead in delivering specific projects for clients, developing content (briefing notes, speaker notes, factsheets, etc.), delivering workshops, trainings and webinars, designing and managing social media campaigns, strategic planning and execution of events and other engagement opportunities, and support to clients and delegations during key events.
This is a one-year, renewable, full-time contract. Emerging is a Canadian company, but the entire team is virtual, so the position is remote. A location in Africa, Europe or the Middle East may be most convenient.
The person we are looking for must be fluent in English, with additional language skills (particularly in French, Spanish or Swahili) a notable advantage. Willingness to travel internationally is required.
