Cold Lake’s Indigenous Internship Program is an opportunity for local Indigenous candidates to gain practical, hands-on work experience at our Cold Lake operation. Interns will be trained and mentored in a supportive work environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to progress towards Power Engineering certification. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring, sampling and troubleshooting process equipment for the assigned units.

What you will do

  • While working under the supervision of an experienced mentor you will perform various duties as required by your select area of employment following all Imperial Safety, Security, Health & Environmental (SSHE) policies.
  • Maintain the housekeeping standard for the shop and work areas
  • Focus on "Best Practices" implementation and development
  • Rotate through field and plant units
  • Participate in the proactive safety program
  • Take responsibility for costs within area of control
