Cnc Programmer & Fabrication Consultant

Description:

We're looking for an experienced 2d and 3d programmer to join our CNC team. This person will sit within our CNC services team to program CNC files and prep them for machining, and support the sales team as a fabrication consultant. The kinds of jobs you'll be programming will be varied and interesting, ranging from furniture and product fabrication to architectural features and whatever else our clients come up with. The ideal candidate will have several years of working experience with Fusion360, ArtCAM and Rhino3D.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Assist sales team with enquiries on fabrication concerns or possibilities and in some cases pricing.
• Produce the required digital assets to allow for CNC programming from provided files
• Program 2D and 3D machining operations using ArtCAM and Fusion360
• Work with CNC operators to set up appropriate tooling and fixtures
• Work to improve production efficiencies by minimising machining times while maintaining required finish qualities
• Work to maximise production by maintaining a production queue of programs for all CNC machines
• Communicate to the CNC operators via documentation all required information for a successful setup, machining, labeling, packaging and any other fabrication processes
• Log machine time after completion for tracking and analysis

What you need

• Punctuality and positivity
• Full time availability (Monday-Friday, 9-5:30)
• Experience programming in Fusion360, ArtCAM (or other CAM software)
• Be legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship
• Experience modelling in Rhino3D would be nice, but is not necessary
• Material and fabrication knowledge would be beneficial (we work mostly with woods, acrylics, solid surface, and foam products)
