Description:
The Cloud RAN Product-Near System Integration organization within Business Unit Networks seeks to work closely with our customers, passionate about the delivery of Cloud native RAN product.
What you will do
- Drive Blueprint architecture, use case and flows for fulfilment of Cloud RAN E2E solution integration aspects from Cloud Infra and post day0/day 1 configuration of the LCM/O&M journeys of Cloud Infra
- Enable Driving an RFI/RFX input (towards Cloud Infra integration/mgmt. service provider) that aligns with solution “needs” as defined in blueprint and respective journey/flows
- Provide architecture expertise, direction and assistance to Product Management for
- Define requirements towards Cloud Infra integration/mgmt. vendors/services providers encompassing LCM/O&M of Cloud Infra and respective tooling for LCM/O&M
- Participate in RFI/RFP discussions with vendor, analyze their response and support Product mgmt/Sourcing in creating a heat map of strong/weak points in vendor offering and relative comparison.
- Provide architecture expertise, direction and support to Customer projects to answer the Cloud infra LCM/Orchestration/O&M/Networking/Security related portions of RFI in collaboration with respective service provider of choice.
- For all of the above, support the recurrent lifecycle of filling in
- Helping to define roadmaps and solutions extensions which could be homegrown OR additional requirements on Cloud infra orchestration/LCM/OAM/Security
- Gaps as new requirements on chosen vendors
- Improve/Optimize identified weaknesses as experienced during inhouse validation/verification and/or real customer projects that use the Cloud Infra services from partner provider.
- Support documentation/CPI creation for solution
- Developing, documenting, making recommendations, and communicating plans for improvement/extensions on services offered by Cloud Infra integration/mgmt. service provider, including analyzing cost reduction opportunities.
You will bring
- A Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field with a minimum of five (7-10) years of IT or related field work experience, including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations
- The role warrants that person has experience/witness Cloud Administration/Engineer roles (aka system configuration, maintenance, and provisioning) and evolved into an Architect (responsible for evaluating technology choices and finding solutions to address cloud infra/orchestration and mgmt. related needs of a customer project in Cloud RAN space).
- Experience with vendor management (preferably in area of cloud infrastructure and services)
- Experience with Devops realizations of Cloud infrastructures, which could be limited to CD(delivery) but preferred CD(deployment) on staging and product environments for Cloud infrastructure components and services.
- Experience/Certification in one of the major cloud computing environments, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (preferred and seen as an asset)
- Knowledge on Open RAN/ Cloud RAN, and know-how around respective standards/initiatives under ORAN umbrella
- Experience in management, deployment and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, effectively managing vendors and working in cross functional teams
- Knowledge/Exposure on Telco cloud unique networking requirements (including but not limited to Multus secondary interfaces , VLAN tagging , network interface bonding , SR-IOV, DPDK ) will be seen as a strong asset
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience with setting up Cloud infrastructure/private cloud/date center infra encompassing not just physical blades but also storage and network fabric
- Experience in Cloud Security and observability (including but not limited to cluster monitoring , log aggregation solutions , access control principles etc.) to complement the Cloud RAN application security/observability will be seen as an asset
- Knowledge on cloud multi-tenancy and techniques/measures to realize the same will be a great addition
- Developing your skills as a Cloud infra Technology Consulting practitioner to ensure continued market and client relevancy and success of E2E offering
