Description:
Roles and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Design and provide oversight of all engineering activities for Deloitte’s commercial cloud hosting platform in AWS and Azure
- Optimize the platform architecture and use of automation to achieve and continuously improve required outcomes related to Deloitte’s business strategies
- Coach, mentor and guide a team of cloud engineers (potentially across multiple geographies) and create a world-class team culture and career destination of choice for rising talent
- Responsible for overseeing the service delivery of the engineering team, including responsiveness to client requests and issues/outages
- Collaborate with organizational leadership to review overall platform engineering and roadmap status, operational challenges; collaborate with leadership to plan for and track annual budgets
- Collaborate directly with application teams and hosting teams to facilitate onboarding to the commercial cloud platform
- Participate in firm-wide architecture forums and relevant industry working groups and forums to continuously evolve the cloud platform architecture and technology strategy to ensure a leading-class solution
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance and accuracy of all “as-deployed” and “as-built” documentation
- Oversee the operational availability of the commercial cloud platform and manage a team to respond to any service delivery disruptions (on-call / available as needed to address significant, unplanned events)
- Define and oversee the implementation of a controlled engineering and platform deployment approach
