Description:

The FrontCounter BC Contact Centre Representative is a member of a virtual team with peers located in different office and home locations throughout British Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing fast-paced customer service primarily over the phone to clients of the provincial governments natural resource agencies. Other duties include receiving, reviewing and validating incoming applications, as well as general application assistance.

As a member of the Selkirk Natural Resource District team, you will also provide support to local office operations. Approximately 20% of your time will be spent supporting in-person Front Counter operations and providing general office administrative support.

Job Requirements:

  • Secondary School graduation or equivalent (for example GED).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an office or office setting.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience providing excellent customer/client service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Recent experience (within the last 5 years) working with computers, word processing and database applications in a work or school environment.
  • Experience providing customer/client service in an adversarial environment.
  • Experience applying legislation, regulations or policy within any industry or setting.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Relevant experience, education and/or training in the Natural Resources sector.
  • Experience in Natural Resources permit and/or authorizations work.
  • Experience in a contact centre or call centre environment.
  • Completion of the Certified Service Professional program.
