Client Service Manager

 

Description:

A fast-growing firm with a dynamic team of CPAs and non-CPAs dedicated to providing top-notch financial services to a diverse group of clients. We are looking for a highly skilled Client Service Manager (Accounting) with excellent project management capabilities and a solid background in accounting & bookkeeping. While a formal accounting designation is not required, strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail are essential for this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting records are current and accurate.
  • Assist junior staff by troubleshooting issues and providing guidance to ensure timely and precise processing of books, quarterly sales taxes and financial statements.
  • Review sales taxes and bookkeeping prepared by junior staff.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple accounting projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
  • Implement and maintain efficient processes and systems to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting and tax compliance deadlines

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple clients and projects.
  • Superior problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and certification with QuickBooks Online and Xero.
  • Experience managing a team or mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to speak French fluently will be a bonus
  • Corporate tax experience will be a bonus
  • Accounting-related designation will be a bonus (CPB, PCP, CPA)
