Job Description:

The Client Relationships and Sales Coordinator plays a critical role in contributing to the success of Sun Life’s Group Retirement Services Client Management Plan. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Plan Sponsor Reporting, you will provide insightful and meaningful reporting to support the needs of group retirement plan sponsors, third-party advisors, and consultants.

 

As a Client Relationships and Sales Coordinator, you will use a variety of systems and tools to create reports that aim to highlight opportunities for plan sponsors to further promote plan member engagement and financial security. In addition, you will provide recommendations to improve processes, structure, organization, and general responsibilities, in accordance with best practice guidelines. Tasks are completed through following general instructions, and you’ll be able to showcase your strong analytical skills when completing required research, and creativity during implementation.

 

What will you do?

Please note that the duties of the role may shift depending on the business focus (sales, client relationships, marketing, communications, or office administration).

  • Design and prepare custom and templated PowerPoint presentations for Client Relationship Executives (CRE) to use during client-related presentations

  • Conduct research and produce standard reports on topics including internet and call center statistics, investment information, etc.

  • Utilize excel spreadsheets to communicate research findings to clients

  • Update and maintain reports and client lists as requested by Regional Directors, Client Relationship Executives and others, as required

  • Provide guidance and assistance to clients, advisors, and consultants by responding to general and client-related project inquiries on behalf of CRE’s when they’re unavailable

  • Act as a knowledge expert and peer reviewer for Sun Life’s CRM OnDemand tool and collaborate with the Best Practice team to establish and implement best practices which promote and maintain data integrity

 


What will you need to succeed?

  • College diploma and 3-5 years related work experience in financial services; University Degree and/or group retirement services experience is an asset

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, Lotus Notes, and other web-based programs, with the ability to prepare high quality documents, presentations, and graphics

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)

  • Knowledge of business-related policies and practices (i.e., business continuity), laws and regulations (i.e., privacy regulation and practices), and pension, investment, and products and services

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess priorities and resolve problems while under pressure from competing resources and demands

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-oriented mindset and a knack for building and maintaining positive work relationships

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage own workload and prioritize tasks while working in both an independent and team environment

  • Ability to stay abreast of a continuously evolving environment while staying true to Sun Life’s mandate and values

  • Bilingualism (French, English) required - immediate manager is a unilingual Anglophone outside Quebec
