Job Title:Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Company: Seven Generation Capital Corp. (7Gen)
Location: Based in Montreal, Quebec. Focus on Canada and US markets, supporting debt & equity financings and financial operations, and preparing for potential expansion into Europe.

Role Overview:
The Chief Financial Officer at 7Gen will play a pivotal role in steering the company’s finance strategy and operations, focusing on debt & equity structuring, M&A, financial management, and sustainable growth. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will lead financial planning, risk management, and fiscal operations in alignment with 7Gen's strategic objectives, particularly as we target expansion into new markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership: Serve as a core member of the executive team, leading 7Gen’s finance activities. Report to the COO and collaborate closely with other senior leaders.
Finance Strategy: Develop and execute robust financial strategies and plans. Oversee debt and project equity fundraising and structuring with senior financial institutions in Canada and the US to create scalable asset financing relationships for leasing electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. Support the CEO in corporate equity raises.
Reporting: Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and fiscal reporting and ensure the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and internal policies.
Sustainable Business Growth: Lead financial initiatives that support sustainable and scalable business growth. Analyze and implement financial models and structures that optimize profitability and efficiency. Work with the rest of the C-Suite to integrate robust financial planning tools for cash, revenue, cost and margin optimization into other aspects of the overall business.
Risk Management: Oversee the company’s financial risk management. Identify, analyze, and mitigate financial risks associated with business operations and market fluctuations.
Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors and stakeholders. Communicate financial performance and strategy effectively, ensuring transparency and trust.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the finance team. Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Requirements:
Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Proven experience in CFO roles or equivalent, with a strong background in debt structuring and financial management.
Demonstrable success in leading financing strategies and operations in a growth-focused company.
Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and fiscal management.
Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing a high-performing team.
Knowledge of the EV industry or related sectors is advantageous.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Expectation to work mostly from the office and some (international) travel may be required.
