The Construction Solutions team in our North American Headquarters (Edmonton, AB) is currently seeking a critical-thinking Business Systems Analyst performing analysis, requirements gathering and solutioning for our project field operations applications. Through building strong relationships with our stakeholders and technical teams, you will identify opportunities to improve and extend our software solutions to be more effective and efficient. This role is offered at an 18-month, hourly contract term.

Responsibilities
- Elicits, reviews, analyzes, and validates system and user needs.
- Documents stakeholder, solution, and transition requirements and participates in gaining signoff.
- Coordinates and facilitates workshops for subject matter experts in system configuration.
- Supports effective identification, assessment, and prioritization of business problems and identifies solution, enhancements and recommendations for improvements.
- Supports end users, troubleshoot issues, and streamlines service delivery.
- Develops and delivers stakeholder communication.
- Works in an Agile fashion, delivering projects according to accepted Agile methods as directed by the Department Manager.
- Adheres to PCL’s solution delivery framework (SDF).
- Develops user acceptance testing results, tracks issues, report statuses and gains signoff.
- Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in information management, information technology, business administration, computing science or a related discipline.
- 3 years of progressive experience in a related field.
- Effective verbal or written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to think logically and analytically, and to constructively express ideas and concepts.
- Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize own work.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints.
- Ability to work independently and in a team by collaborating to solve problems.
