The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Provider Services, the business planner oversees the planning and change management details for the IT scope for Referral Management Services projects and larger operational initiatives. This position works with internal and external teams across the province to ensure the services we provide fit with the overall strategic direction of eHealth and meet or exceed business requirements. This position facilitates the development of change management strategies, plans, and business cases in collaboration with eHealth and its partners.

The successful applicant will have a mix of strategic mindset and operational experience. They will need to be able to paint the strategic picture for those around them, while understanding the operational nuances that drive the business. Curiosity, and the ability to learn new subjects an apply them into proactive will also be critical as the referral landscape is rapidly changing.

As part of the Provider Services portfolio, this position will work amongst the team to organize, plan, and execute change management processes for projects and larger operational requests from vision through implementation. Taking the lead, this exciting role will have the opportunity to work with internal personnel, contractors, and vendors to complete initiatives and support business process improvements. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage the organization’s change management framework and strategy.
  • Research and assessment of items such as tools and infrastructure to provide decision support.
  • Coordination of projects, priorities, and deliverables across teams.
  • Coach and mentor senior leaders, cross-functional project teams and external partners, to develop and apply the change management strategy to their initiatives.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to support the execution of specific engagement strategies and plans.
  • Assist with management of client interactions and expectations; demonstrate subject matter expertise, address client needs, and provide value propositions.
  • Project-manage RMS projects; manage resources, deliverables, timelines, report status, risks, and issues.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, and impediments to progress and develop corresponding mitigation plans.
  • Create actionable deliverables including communication and engagement plans, leadership readiness, employee readiness, training plans, obstacle management plans, and reinforcement plans.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of metrics and KPI’s.
  • Implement scalable and easy to understand processes, tools and methodologies that effectively support the change strategy for all organizational, people, process, and technology-related changes.
  • Understanding of interdependencies across the divisions.
  • Creation of documentation, presentations, information, and decision items for various audiences.
  • Coordination and support for business process improvement initiatives.
