As the Business Lead, Parking and Ground Transportation, your main area of focus will be to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with the goal of developing new business streams and driving value to enhance existing partnerships. Drawing on your strong ability to analyze data, compare it against industry trends, and communicate with others you will execute on strategic initiatives within the PGT department.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, source, develop and coordinate implementation of new business concepts which will maximize sales, grow revenue and enhance the passenger experience.
  • Complete commercial lease agreements, contract strategy documents, and various approval documents for new and existing PGT lines of business.
  • Analyze revenue contracts and work with business partners to develop new strategies to drive growth in efficiencies, innovation, revenue generation, customer experience and sustainability.
  • Develop a yield management program to review, optimize, and monitor parking and ground transportation pricing for fees and services.
  • Review relevant financial and non-financial reports (YVRAA and external) and make suggestions and develop strategic initiatives proactively, to ensure optimal performance is achieved and best practices are employed throughout the PGT portfolio of programs and services.
  • Work closely with other YVR internal departments to align and champion changes to the business that support development of the program.

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business development, finance or accounting role, supplemented by a post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Project Management designation is an asset.
  • Strong business acumen combined with critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven history of building solid working relationships with internal and external customers and demonstrated experience managing difficult conversations, such as negotiations.
  • Effective communications skills with the ability to write professional business documents to present to senior leadership.
    Experienced Excel user with the ability to perform statistical analysis, V-Lookups, Formulas, Pivot tables
