Business Development Specialist

 

Description:

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Specialist has the overall responsibility to grow our sales through our broadline distribution partner, Gordon Food Service, within the existing customer base and attain and develop new business . The Business Development Specialist is a hands-on sales professional with excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic thinking, relentless attitude and committed to sales activity - the successful candidate will maintain current relationships as well as develop a strategic plan to go after new business that would complement the Gordon Food Service Ontario sales team
  • Ability to identify opportunities for total category growth through report analysis and sales insights
  • Provide support to the Gordon Food Service Sales and Customer Solutions team
  • Provide support to Customer Service and Purchasing teams for day to day communication to Gordon Food Service
  • Coordinating new product development, new product listings for RMU/ Street opportunities
  • Maintaining regional customer order guide, catalog,sales material/POS and pricing
  • Planning participation and execution of Gordon Food Service sales training seminars and food shows
  • Participate in customer activities / events (social, charity, etc.) as required and represent Fresh Start Foods at all events attended
