Description:

Sun Life is seeking a Business Development Partner to onboard, coach, and support 8-15 developing Advisors over a 36-48 month period, focusing on insurance, wealth management, and holistic business growth. The role involves sourcing, training, mentoring, and developing financial advisors to help them succeed in their sales and client service strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

πŸ”Ή Advisor Onboarding & Development:

  • Source and recruit potential financial advisors through community contacts and referrals.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience, including licensing studies, business planning, and joint client meetings.
  • Train advisors on product knowledge, sales processes, and client service best practices.

πŸ“ˆ Sales Growth & Business Development:

  • Coach advisors on cross-selling opportunities, sales cycles, and business management.
  • Help advisors develop holistic financial strategies for their clients.
  • Ensure advisors meet their sales targets, productivity goals, and client engagement objectives.

βš– Regulatory Compliance & Operations:

  • Ensure advisors adhere to regulatory standards and Sun Life’s compliance policies.
  • Oversee advisor operations, including licensing, registration, and ethical sales practices.
  • Investigate and escalate client complaints and regulatory concerns.

πŸ›  Technology & Performance Monitoring:

  • Utilize Salesforce.com and other tools to track advisor performance.
  • Implement data-driven strategies to enhance sales effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements:

βœ” 5+ years of experience in financial services, sales, or business development.
βœ” Strong insurance and wealth product knowledge.
βœ” Proven sales management and coaching skills.
βœ” Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in financial services.
βœ” Life Insurance Agent’s License (valid in province of operation).
βœ” Must be willing to complete the Branch Manager’s Course Examination.
βœ” Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

Preferred Qualifications:

βœ… Experience as a Financial Advisor with a track record of developing successful advisors.
βœ… Prior leadership experience in sales or financial services.
βœ… Professional designation in financial services (e.g., CFP, CLU, CHFC).
