We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with accounting firms, and driving the growth of our SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B SaaS sales and business development. If you think this describes you, you could be just who we’re looking for.
What you’ll do:
- Lead generation and qualification: Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including outbound calling, email campaigns, networking events, social media and inbound channels.
- Client engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in advisory firms. Understand their needs and pain points to present tailored solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.
- Reporting and analysis: Track and report on sales performance metrics, market feedback, and competitive activities. Provide regular updates to senior management on business development initiatives.
- Continuous improvement: Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales strategies and processes.
- Support & assist the wider team in achieving outstanding customer service, deliver outcomes that are both customer centric and commercially viable to help the business achieve its goals. At all times making sure our customers are treated fairly.
- Contributing to the culture of Swoop and maintaining the reputation of the business at all times.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a business development, sales, or account management (preferably within SaaS or accounting industries)
- High level of drive to exceed sales targets
- High level of integrity, work ethic, humility, empathy and team spirit and have the ambition and desire to work in a high-growth tech company
- Comfortable in a growth-paced environment that requires strong time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Genuine relationship-builder who is passionate about helping small businesses
- Results-driven and hold yourself accountable for delivering on growth targets
