Description:
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and dynamic Business Development Manager to shape and execute our sales and marketing strategy, foundations, and processes. Reporting directly to the President, you will play a pivotal role in aligning business development efforts with revenue and growth targets, fostering a high-performing sales team, and enhancing our market presence through collaboration with various departments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the President to formulate and communicate an effective business development strategy aligned with corporate objectives and forecasting, including KPIs.
- Foster seamless collaboration between Sales and Operations teams, maintaining effective relationships with the Operations team.
- Collaborate with management on strategic planning of assets and resources to achieve business development objectives.
- Incorporate current sales activities into overall business development plans in collaboration with the current Sales team.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, emphasizing confidentiality.
- Purchase equipment and supplies within budgetary guidelines.
- Provide detailed market analysis to identify growth opportunities in new clients, geographic regions, technologies, and services.
- Present opportunities to enhance current procedures, technology, geographic regions, and services.
- Demonstrate alignment with Core Values, Core Purpose, and Corporate Vision.
- Identify, evaluate, and lead the pursuit of new business opportunities, including contract development and negotiation.
- Submit timely reports documenting business development and sales activity.
- Take a lead role in implementing new technology and innovation.
- Provide quarterly reports on competitor activities and strategies.
- Actively participate in professional organizations, industry networking, educational forums, and read industry publications for continuous learning.

Key Measures of Performance:
- Effective management of the business development budget.
- Achievement of revenue targets for key clients and new business.
- Successful implementation of new technology, services, policies, and procedures.

- Achievement of budgeted annual revenue and profitability targets.
- Presentation of annual sales plans and forecasts to Senior Management and the Sales team.

Qualifications:
- Proven ability to learn and understand technical details and scope of services in a dynamic setting.
- 5-8+ years of Business Development experience in the oilfield services sector.
- 5+ years of experience in managing a business unit and budget.
- Experience in creating and executing a Business Development Strategy.
- Networking and collaboration experience with diverse groups.
- Post-Secondary Education considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in project management, project evaluation, and budgeting.
- Prior operations experience in oilfield services, specifically wireline.
- Self-motivation and adaptability to changing situations.
- Strong teamwork skills.
