As a Business Development Manager in PROLINK’s Personal Insurance department, you will be driving financial growth by building strong relationships with clients and closing leads. We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven self-starter looking to make an impact in a growing environment.
The Responsibilities:
- Secure new high net worth clients and build our VIP (Preferred Services) book of business;
- Connect with clients via warm transfers (phone and email) and in person;
- Arrange meetings with prospective clients and complete the appropriate research on their unique business needs;
- Complete a risk analysis on prospective clients to determine which coverage is most appropriate;
- Provide clients with solutions by promoting insurance products and services, with a focus on Home & Auto insurance;
- Cultivate relationships with clients and help guide them through our internal systems and processes;
- Remain current with industry trends and become a subject matter expert on PROLINK’s business, processes, and operations;
- Negotiate contract Terms & Conditions with new and existing clients;
- Keep records of sales through our workflow and processes;
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with other members of the team to service clients;
- Travel to meet clients as needed (as circumstances permit and require when not working from home).
The Requirements:
To be seriously considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Must be RIBO licensed; Post-secondary or university education is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Account Management, Underwriting, Sales or related roles in an insurance brokerage or insurance company. Exposure to Underwriting, Personal Insurance (Home and Auto), or Group Insurance is a great asset. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of selling to High Net Worth/VIP clients and the ability to build rapport and strong communication skills when negotiating.

Comfort with managing multiple demands, with proven organizational, time-management and prioritization skills. An entrepreneurial spirit, with strong networking skills and the ability to successfully communicate complex insurance and risk management concepts to clients.
- Softer Skills: A person who is positive, energized, articulate, engaging, empathetic and approachable. Self-motivated and willing to work collaboratively with various teams at PROLINK to constantly improve the client experience.
