At Sun Life Consulting, our mission is to leverage advisor best practices in developing programs and services that deliver on our promise to advisors and firms: We help. You grow. We are seeking a BD Consultant who can ensure consistency & accuracy of our shelf of resources and services across the three distribution channels we serve: 1) Independent Insurance 2) SLGI; and 3) SLFD.
The position reports directly to the AVP, Business Development & Consulting.
What will you do?
Program delivery
- Ensures our Guiding Principles are followed by all parties
- Ensures all team members are following the presentation build process & signs off
- Responsible for project managing our PPT and resource rebranding
- Responsible for managing the agency referral program in support of PM Consultations
- Owns how our content is displayed on web locations (Suncentral, joint website, etc.)
- Submit presentations for Continuing Education accreditation & renewal and maintain details in playbook
Internal partnerships
- Represent the team at various Project Working Groups to consult on digital experience, overall strategy, etc.
- Support AVP as the liaison between SL Consulting and SLGI and Independent Insurance Distribution
- Liaison between SL Consulting and National Events teams
- Keeps all stakeholders informed and manages their requests for new content
- Manages the joint web location, playbook updates etc.
- Keeps presentation menu updated and ensures all stakeholders have the current version
Management systems
- Works closely with AVP to maintain overall vision/direction/sign off
- Team meeting facilitation
- Responsible for managing the intake process for all 3 channels
- Publications Reviews Process alignment
- Creates a process to assess advisor engagement/satisfaction
- Maintains the testimonial deck
What do you need to succeed?
- Degree in business, marketing, psychology, or related field
- Experience, and ideally, a designation in project management
- 5+ plus years of experience working within financial services/Insurance industry
- Understanding of the value of advice
- Proficient with Excel (experience with pivot tables and V-look ups)
