Summary and Overview

  • Student will be working with the Manager Seniors Central Support, Central Support Services Administrative Lead, as well as the individual administrators of the long-term care homes. The student will be assisting with the workload of our department related to administrative duties.
  • A consistent communication focus across all sites as outlined in both the Seniors Services Strategic Directions and the Seniors Services Operational Plan
  • Central Support Services work will include (but is not limited to):
    • Project assistance
    • Administrative duties
    • Problem solving
    • Reviewing reports and metrics

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current enrollment in an approved post-secondary institution Business Program
  • Excellent computer skills - MS office, internet searches
  • Planning, analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Independent worker
  • Able to communicate in a professional manner (oral and written)
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able to prioritize work assignments from management staff
  • Project Management experience
  • Website navigation skills
  • Facilitation skills in focus groups and workshops
