Description:
- Managing project plans, coordination with hospital owners' staff, management, project scope, and budget analysis and associate project risk mitigation.
- Ensuring that the technical document requirements and scopes of work are being met by the applicable responsible design consultants and trades.
- Identifying problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
- Reviewing and providing comment on the material specifications and data sheets, instrument index, input & output lists, bills of quantities, block diagrams, cable routing, control room layouts, loop diagrams, wiring termination diagrams, loop drawings, installation hook-up drawings, junction box termination drawings.
- Managing integration of IMIT with all other building systems (M&E, elevators, clinical hospital equipment & systems). Working closely with the integration consultant to implement the integration plan.
- Evaluating the vendor-supplied packaged programs, macros, utilities, data communication programs, and other highly technical programs.
- Monitoring Ensuring the process design strategies, including that the development of RFIs, RFPs are adhered to and clear and concise prior to submittal.
- Coordinating activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Other Building Systems IMIT duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum ten years' experience in a related IT industry.
- Certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) credentials considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, clinical informatics, trends, business drivers, and best practices to provide subject matter expertise and leadership.
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of all IMIT systems.
- Ability to develop and implement a designated IMIT QA/QC program.
- Ability to work with computers, networks, and various types of software systems.
- UnderstandingExperience with Healthcare IMIT systems including but not limited to: integration of centralized network systems, audio visual systems/VOIP systems, Wi-Fi/DAS/Wireless Systems, RTLS/Nursecall/Code Blue/Patient Wandering, Security/CCTV/Access Control Duress, lighting control/elevator control, Patient of different types of contract delivery methods.
- Ability to manage contractual obligations and responsibilities related to building systems.
- Uses effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
