Brewery Assistant

The Brewery Assistant is an integral part of the production team and will work closely with the Packaging Lead, Brewers and the Head Brewer. As a Brewery Assistant , you will be a key player in the packaging of beer, maintaining quality processes, warehousing, shipping and receiving and much more! The ideal candidate loves craft beer, is very organized and detail oriented, is responsible and is hard working. This is a full-time position.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow the instruction and direction of the Packaging Lead and brewery management

• Operate canning and kegging operations.

• Ensure products are properly packaged and meet all specifications.

• Ensure proper quality control processes are met and all quality checks are completed on all packaged goods.

• Aid in maintaining the canning line and packaging equipment to ensure proper function of all parts and perform maintenance and repairs when required.

• Ensure all packaging material waste is kept at a minimum and inventory counts are performed when required.

• Ensure packaging materials are received and warehoused in an organized manner.

• Ensure packaged products are stored/warehoused properly and in an organized manner following the FIFO system.

• Maintain a safe working environment.

• Forklift operation and physical loading/offloading of raw materials and packaged goods.

• Meticulous record keeping and data entry into various software programs.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous brewery experience is an asset

• Relevant brewing certificate or education is an asset

• Valid Class-5 or equivalent driver’s license
