Billing Clerk

 

Description:

Collect, sort and file all information needed to calculate customer invoices
Verify the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of the final bill
Verify the Paperwork (POD) is correct/legible
Ensure each customer's specific requirements have been met prior to sending the bill
Issue invoices and bills and send them to customer communicating through all forms of contact
Utilize various TMS/Customer portal platforms to meet each customer's needs
Work with the Billing Supervisor/Manager to identify areas where processes can be improved upon, and identify any processes that can be automated.
Work with Billing Supervisor/Manager to identify issues in other departments that are impacting billing and use critical thinking and team work to come up with solutions.

Job Requirements

3 years of experience working in a billing role
Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to be assertive and manage escalated customer interactions
Ability to work with and manage confidential information and use independent judgment
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Completion of post-secondary studies in related field
Experience working with TMW and Great Plains software
