Benefits Financial Analyst

The Benefits Financial Analyst will be responsible for the financial administration and processes for managing the global benefits spend, tracking and optimization across applicable benefits in all countries. This role will be a key liaison with the Finance and Procurement teams who are integral to our vendor payments, financial controls and program delivery and will also be responsible for bringing key insights and updates for review to senior leadership.

Your Day to Day
 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the global benefits financial management function: optimize the benefits financial management process, identify potential opportunities and gaps and ability to streamline, leverage external best practices, and expand and improve internal controls that are aligned across our key partners and stakeholders that partner on financial management and oversight.
  • Create an improved global benefit team approach to manage and support our Purchase Orders and invoice tracking. Purchase Order and invoice issue resolution (with the Procurement and Accounts Payable and Vendor Management teams)
  • Create Purchase Orders (PO), monitor approval status and maintain PO balance reports in partnership with the members of the global benefits team.
  • Assist with payment and funding options for new or renewed programs and benefits.
  • Collaborate with benefits team members and Procurement on the process to manage and plan for benefit contract implementation, renewals and financial system set ups.
  • Support Merger and Acquisition due diligence and company integrations (from a benefits spend perspective)
  • Support plan audits and plan reconciliations with financial insights and data
  • Lead optimization in how we manage, track, and report our benefits spend in each country (including creating a global benefits spend dashboard)
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal contacts such as Payroll, Finance, and all other HR and extended teams, globally and in country, to facilitate collaboration across teams on financial matters.
  • Develop a global benefits spend dashboard, that is updated timely and shared with stakeholders
  • Demonstrate an ability to solve complex problems; lead cross-organizational efforts; build relationships across organization boundaries; commitment to quality and continuous improvement; detail oriented
  • Research and resolve issues with vendor payments for benefit programs/services invoices.
  • Partner with region and country benefit and finance teams on payment options and status.
  • Identify ad hoc and standard reporting needs and analyze benefit focused procurement data. Provide insights and recommendations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all benefits payment questions
  • Execution of various recurring benefits business processes, surveys, audits, third party risk management activities and testing, making recommendations for improvements and identifying inefficiencies.
  • Lead global vendor purchase order and overall spend tracking and alignment with set rates and budgets.
  • Support strategic benefit proposals with financial data and insights gained from managing the end-to-end benefits financial infrastructure

     

What Do You Need To Bring

  • 5-7+ years of Benefits, HR, or Finance experience ideally in a high-growth, scaling, technology environment.
  • Experience managing benefit programs, including international benefits preferable.
  • Experience with global/multi-national and matrixed organizations
  • Project leadership and process improvement background
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound business judgement when collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Proven analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Proven ability to execute processes accurately and on time
  • Possess an innovative approach to problem solving
  • Independently manage and provide direction to external partners
  • A deep commitment to excellent customer service, empathy, and discretion.
