About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 08 The Team: Data & Insights (DI) is part of the S&P Global Market Intelligence division. We offer the most comprehensive company-level information, reference data, market data, valuation services and derived analytics across public and private markets. Responsibilities and Impact: As part of a global team, you will be responsible for the design, architecture, and development of software solutions using a variety of tools and technologies which continue to evolve as we explore new innovations. Develop tools, applications and business solutions with clean, high quality and efficient code Use best practices that enhance user experience, usability, scalability, performance and security Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners Collaborate effectively with global team members in order to remove blockers and expedite individual tasks What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree completed no later than June 2024 in Computer Science Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring, debugging, and configuration management. Excellent design and problem solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proactive and able to work independently to complete tasks. Open-minded, flexible, and able to adapt to changing situations. Additional Preferred Qualifications: An affinity for any of Java, Python, React, Angular, SQL or AWS development is a plus.
