Since the brand’s launch in Canada in 2019, SheaMoisture has experienced explosive growth. Today, it is the top multicultural hair care brand in the country, a top 10 hair care brand overall, and a fan-favorite of consumers and retailers alike. While there has been a lot of success, there is still so much untapped opportunity for SheaMoisture, not just in hair care but also in other beauty & personal care categories. We are looking for a motivated self-starter, with deep understanding of the multicultural Canadian consumer and a passion for growth, to support the unlocking of these opportunities and further turbo-charge SheaMoisture’s positive momentum. This role will report into the Brand Manager, SheaMoisture.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
- Strong understanding & appreciation for relevant consumer & cultural trends, with a focus on the multicultural consumer, textured haircare needs and beauty categories
- Clear understanding of customer objectives and working in alignment with Sales and Trade Marketing counterparts to support customer needs
- Accountable for delivering the annual financial plan as measured through market share, underlying sales growth, and profit
- Support the development, execution, and optimization of the annual plans for the SheaMoisture portfolio, continuously identifying new growth opportunities across the different SheaMoisture categories. Drive SheaMoisture’s brand power in Canada.
- Assist in the development and execution of deployment plans with the Integrated Agency Team (IAT) that includes external media and PR agencies. Track and evaluate in market plans while keeping tabs on competition
- Working closely with US brand partners to optimize communication and innovation mixes for the Canadian market, delivering on-time flawless execution of these programs
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the brand
- Support and contribute to realizing the objectives of the Beauty & Wellbeing business unit as a member of the team
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Strong growth mindset and bias for action; Entrepreneurial, with the ability to identify and execute new opportunities
- Has excellent analytical/quantitative skills & project management skills; be able to effectively present and implement action plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to strong relationships with global and US teams as well as independently lead & motivate internal cross-functional teams & external agency partners
- At least 3-5 years relevant marketing experience in CPG experience
- Prior experience in Canadian market preferred
