Description:
This role is a unique opportunity to learn the end-to-end Ice Cream business, operating in an agile team and creating value from the factory level to the consumer level, while crafting great products our consumers will love. This role is highly strategic and important to the delivery of future results in North America Ice Cream.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Accountable for delivering the annual financial plan as measured through profit, topline, and competitive market share.
- Crafting of the Ice Cream destination portfolio from ideation to execution, inclusive of innovations, product renovations, and unlocking incremental opportunities, in partnership with the Ice Cream Marketing Lead.
- Proactively uncover opportunities to drive profitable growth and execute in partnership with R&D and Customer Strategy & Planning teams.
- Own category, competitive and Unilever performance tracking and analysis; Distilling insights into action while informing recommendations for portfolio and brand strategies.
- Support Canadian communication plans and work with external agencies, including but not limited to media planning, asset development/adapts, and budget management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the North America Ice Cream community, cross functional teams, and agency partners; identify and mobilize needed resources to accomplish brand/project goals.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Undergraduate degree in Business or similar field.
- 4+ years’ experience in Marketing, Sales, Trade Marketing, or similar field, preferably CPG.
- Strong business and financial acumen, supported by strong analytical skills; Proven excel skills are needed.
- Strong bias for action with clear demonstration of ownership through acting as if the business was your own.
- Clear demonstration of project management & leadership skills. Proven track record of drive and proactivity, with a keen hunger for growth and accountability.
- Strong consumer love with a desire to work in the fun and exciting Ice Cream category.
- General understanding of Canadian retail landscape with general knowledge of customers and channels.
