Description:
The successful candidate must hold a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and hold, or be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The successful candidate will be a Plastic Surgeon with recognized subspecialty fellowship training that will supplement and enhance expertise already held within the Division.
St. Michael’s Hospital is a downtown teaching and research hospital, affiliated with the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. We are a Level 1 Trauma Centre serving the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. The Plastic Surgery division is intimately involved in the care of patients with soft tissue injuries, maxillofacial trauma, and upper extremity injuries. The Division serves a wide breadth and complexity of patients. The Hospital is provincial tertiary referral center for reconstructive surgery. Members of the Division of Plastic Surgery provide care in all aspects of plastic surgery, while maintaining a clinical and academic focus in a specific subspecialty area. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the Division of Plastic Surgery and other physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of care to patients, engage in teaching and scholarship that advances the academic mission of the Hospital and University.
