What you’ll do:
- Respond to customer inquiries with respect to billings, meter installations and repair inquiries.
- Update computer billing system to produce bills with respect to meter/register changes, reference reads and other pertinent information for quarterly accounts.
- Provide assistance in the crediting or back billing of customer accounts as necessary.
- Initiate requests for customer appointments for emergency repairs.
- Communicate with field and office staff to provide and/or obtain information pertinent to meter operations.
- Maintain records, update filing system for new connection orders and repair work orders.
- Update AquaPeel/CC&B with meter serial numbers on new meter installations.
- Arrange appointments with customers and contractors for new meter installations and repair and or replacement of existing meters.
What the role requires:
- Secondary school diploma combined with one to three years’ office experience, preferably in an accounting or bookkeeping environment. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Polished verbal and written communications skills.
- Problem solver who manages times effectively and maintains organization.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
- Mathematical, clerical, and keyboarding skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working Knowledge of CC&B software would be considered an asset.
