Description:
Reporting to the Deputy Minister, Public Service Commission, you will play a key leadership role in advancing initiatives with a broad impact on the APS. This includes leadership talent assessment, development and management; attraction and recruitment of executive managers and senior officials; development and delivery of learning strategies, programs and initiatives; and internal communications and engagement strategies. Your leadership will guide the APS People Strategy, the Performance Excellence Program, the Recognition Program as well as onboarding programs. You will engage with and provide critical strategic advice to senior government officials and committees.
Qualifications
Your career reflects significant related executive leadership experience in a large, complex organization with demonstrated abilities in stakeholder engagement, building organizational capacity, strategic planning, and developing collaborative environments. You bring exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders on sensitive issues to find innovative solutions. As a seasoned leader, you bring a systems approach to coordinating high profile multi-partner initiatives and influencing decisions that have far-reaching impact. A track record of maintaining networks with stakeholders, building capacity, empowering staff to develop and deliver complex policies and programs, and a broad knowledge of human resources and talent management strategies will position you for success. A related degree is preferred.
