Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to lead our Junior Art Classes for students in Grades 1-3 and Upper Junior Art Classes for students in Grades 4-7. The ideal candidate will inspire young artists, fostering a love for creativity while teaching fundamental art techniques and concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons that encourage creativity and skill development.
- Teach a variety of art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of different age groups and skill levels, ensuring that each student is challenged and supported.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages self-expression and artistic exploration.
- Provide constructive feedback to students, helping them develop their skills and confidence in art.
- Organize and display student artwork in the studio, creating opportunities for students to showcase their work.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring that all materials are used safely and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or currently studying in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching art to children, preferably in a school or studio setting.
- Strong understanding of art techniques and mediums suitable for young learners.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for working with children and fostering their creativity.
