Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Applications Developer/Programmer.

Reporting to the Section Head, Information Systems, this role is responsible for technical support of OPG’s enterprise asset management software systems.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide wide range of technical support for the OPG’s enterprise asset management software systems for purchasing, contract management and accounting, including maintenance and support for their integrations with other systems, such as SAP Ariba.
• Assist business customers with defining their information technology requirements to meet their needs and provide recommendations on proposed solutions.
• Implement systems enhancements and changes to meet new business requirements or provide resolution to a problem. This includes new development and modifications to the core software systems, workflows and online or batch interfaces.
• Play integral role in technical system upgrades and application of the patch releases.
• Apply software development lifecycle processes for each phase, maintaining ownership of the program change from start to finish.
• Collaborate with software vendors and other IT teams for development of required solutions and information exchange.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives involving supported systems.
• Other duties as required for support of the OPG systems.
