The Analyst/Associate will assist in providing support to Hamilton Lane’s clients and support business development aspects related to the management of our Canadian prospect relationships, with a particular focus on institutional and private wealth clients (pension funds, endowments & foundations, consultants, insurance companies, family offices and wealth platforms). They will also assist in providing ongoing high levels of client servicing to our existing client base.

Your Responsibilities Will Be To
 

  • Work directly with the Canadian Client Solutions team on various client support and investment product development tasks
  • Prospect – keeping an up-to-date market map and identifying the highest value prospects
  • Act as internal support for various sales and client related activities including:
    • Maintaining sales activities and new business pipeline in CRM
    • Managing the coordination efforts for presentations and meetings with prospective investors and clients
    • Assisting in the creation of presentation materials
    • Coordinating the completion of RFPs and ad-hoc due diligence requests
    • Work directly with other representatives throughout the firm to ensure superior level of client service
    • Other sales-related projects as necessary
  • Continue to learn and gain knowledge of private markets solutions, structures and strategies
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of HL technology tools to aggregate and present information needed for client deliverables

Your Background Will Include
 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years’ postgraduate experience in finance, preferably in capital markets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid understanding of various types of investments
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills (data analysis, numerical skills, problem solving etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and receive feedback
  • Team player able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Desire to work as part of a team with a strong focus on client needs
  • Organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects effectively, on-time and across global time zones
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Resourcefulness; ability to navigate ambiguity
