What You Will Do:
- Participates in delivery of the MRM direction and vision by providing input into the development and implementation of MRM’s vision, goals and objectives.
- Provide the following application related services to our Enterprise Marketing and Risk Management business clients, including Trading, Scheduling, Contracts, Confirmations, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Treasury and Accounting:
- Work with other MRM System team members in delivery quality products and services as prioritized by MRM Management.
- Investigate reported system issues and bugs; identify and communicate alternatives for resolution to MRM Systems leadership; follow through on implementing chosen alternatives.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Openlink, Egistix and Kyriba Oil system functionality especially in terms of:
- Interfaces to and from the applications (e.g. Oracle Financials, Egistix, ICE, etc.)
- Be involved in the investigation and assessment of new tools and technology for overall fit within the current and emerging technical landscape for MRM enabling the delivery of the technical roadmap. This includes vendor and RFP assessments, analyzing the technical implications of potential infrastructure (hardware and software) changes and testing new technology to resolve questions about alternatives.
- Resolve production problems either independently or by coordinating resolution with software vendors, clients and/or appropriate in-house experts identifying opportunities for solution improvements looking for both technical and business optimizations.
- Be a communication point with identified business clients as required regarding MRM systems availability, functionality and processes.
- Identify potential areas where existing policies, processes and/or procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed, and make recommendations where applicable.
Who You Are:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree in a related field, e.g. Computer Science, Management Information Management Systems or related discipline (equivalencies accepted).
- 1-4+ years of progressive experience of application development and IT processes in the ETRM or Finance space.
- Proven interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influence and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be innovative, initiate, lead and manage change.
- Range of experience in IT project planning, process analysis, systems analysis, technical analysis, systems implementation and operations.
- Direct experience working providing strategic direction for applications.
- At least 1-4+ years’ experience in supporting an enterprise level system (e.g. common system used by more than a single client group).
- At least 1-4+ years’ experience in TWO of the following programming languages/environments: Java, Oracle, PL/SQL, Crystal Reports, .NET, C/C#, AVS/JVS.
