Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Request, review and manage relevant project data, market studies, financial and economic plans, and contextual issues
- Conduct business planning, economic, contractual, and/or financial analysis as required
- Interact with other consultants, within Arup and externally, for business planning, financial advisory, and due diligence assignments of infrastructure assets
- Prepare analyses, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and coordinate/manage relevant project inputs from other consultants
- Review and/or develop financial models, economic cost-benefit analyses, feasibility analyses, and market studies
- Prepare and deliver presentations of the above to satisfy client needs and goals
- Respond to RFP’s and prepare proposals
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external networks
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or similar fields required
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft office programs (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
- Exposure to financial modeling
- Strategic thinking
- Interest in Infrastructure (i.e., rail, aviation, highways, renewable energy)
- Initiative and curiosity
- Fast learner
- Excellent presentation and writing skills
- Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future
Preferred
- Master's degree in Engineering, Construction management, Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Business administration or similar fields
- Skills in Corporate strategy development
- Practical hands-on experience with financial modeling
- Knowledge of different procurement models (i.e., P3’s)
- Course work themes in business, finance, economics, project and process management
