Administrative Support Assistant

 

Description:

We are looking for an Administrative Support Assistant in Edmonton, AB - 12 month contract.


The Administrative Support Assistant is responsible for telephone reception and administrative duties for the Disability Management Services Office (DMSO).


What you will do

  • Manage incoming phone call inquiries received on the department toll-free line
  • Open, sort and prepare incoming mail.
  • Scan mail into the document imaging system and set tasks for team members to review and handle the mail
  • Create and mail correspondence to employees, clients, and service providers
  • Maintain employee and client information in GWL systems, including entering or updating banking information, updating employee and client contact information, and entering invoice data for payment
  • Investigate mail that has been returned to sender and resend the mail as appropriate
  • Manage the distribution of files requested from the Records Centre
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

What you will bring

  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Strong keyboarding (50 wpm) and data entry skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Well developed organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well developed problem solving skills
