Administrative Assistant
Description:
- Post-secondary education with a health, administration, or social services focus, or 2 years relevant work experience
- Experience with project management such as planning community events
- Has lived experience with and/or is knowledgeable working with Treaty 3 communities.
- Experience learning from indigenous elders and knowledge holders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in an office environment and outdoors.
- Highly organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize and produce a high standard of work.
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality of information and to maintain research ethics.
- Sound understanding of Anishinaabe culture, values, and perspectives; ability to understand and speak Anishinaabemowin a definite asset;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while being an effective team member
- Willingness and ability to travel;
- Valid drivers’ license and own vehicle required;
- Proof of immunization in compliance with policy requirements is mandatory;
- Current criminal records check required;
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development relevant to job requirements;
- Positive attitude and capacity to act as a healthy lifestyle role model.
