Description:

The Legislative Assembly of Ontario seeks an Administrative Assistant – Room Bookings who, as part of our Parliamentary Protocol and Public Relations Branch, in Toronto, ON, will provide a range of administrative support and clerical services to the Branch.

What You’ll Do

You’ll act with integrity to:

  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in a non-partisan support role
  • Exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgement in a politically sensitive environment

You’ll support our collaboration as you:

  • Provide administrative support to the booking of space by internal and external clients in the Legislative Building
  • Use software to maintain and support a seamless room booking process
  • Provide back-up support to the Press Gallery Coordinator
  • Maintain an effective filing system for managing documents and correspondence
  • Coordinate logistical requirements for special events and meetings

How You Qualify

You demonstrate excellence through your:

  • Completion of 1 year of community college and/or 6 months of work-related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Verbal and written fluency in English
  • Experience performing a wide range of administrative and clerical work
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to stay organized, manage priorities, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and be flexible
