Administrative Assistant

 

Description:

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant for our warehouse in Nisku, AB, within our Canadian Industrial Division. As an Administrative Assistant, you will contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

  • Fielding telephone calls, filing, and data entry, typing of various correspondence and formatting of documents
  • Performing a variety of Internet research functions
  • Preparing word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Calendar management and support for manager
  • Assisting with meeting preparation (i.e. coordination of information, preparing tabs, and distribution of material)
  • Maintaining office supply inventory and orders as appropriate
  • Additional support and duties, as required

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset.
  • 1 year of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.
