Description:

Medicine Hat College has a full-time opportunity for an Administrative Assistant III to join our Student Residence support staff. This position will report directly to the Residence Coordinator.

A little about the role:

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and reception support within Student Residence, acting as a key resource for students, community members, and staff seeking information about residence services, summer conference accommodations, policies, and support for various issues or requests.

In this position, you will handle inquiries regarding housing options, availability, maintain internal databases, process financial transactions such as invoices and reimbursements, and ensure accurate billing for residence charges. You will also assist with evaluating housing applications, coordinating student arrivals and departures, conducting room inspections, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adept at managing multiple tasks, and committed to delivering excellent service to residents and staff.

 

Details:

As a successful applicant you'll have:

  • Business Administration diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience within administrative support services and accounting preferred
  • Excellent communication, word processing and data entry skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Competence with Microsoft Office applications is essential
  • Previous experience in a student-centered environment preferred
  • Must have customer service-related experience
  • Equivalent combinations of work experience and post-secondary education may be considered
