Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check.

Qualifications:
Essential:

  • Training in, and/or experience performing various administrative, clerical and reception type duties such as, but not limited to:word processing, processing incoming and outgoing mail, receiving and distributing information, filing, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, answering phones, etc.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook) or similar software applications.
  • Fluency in American Sign Language.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience drafting, proofreading, editing and/or formatting correspondence with a highdegree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive material in a confidential and professional manner.
