Description:
To provide confidential secretarial services to the Divisional Director Emergency Disaster Services and all Emergency Disaster Services employee personnel within the Salvation Army Atlantic Division
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in organizing Emergency Disaster Services events
- Create form letters, charts, tables, certificates, brochures, briefs, power point presentations etc. as may be required
- Secure information required for various Boards and meetings and keep relevant folders up to date.
- Prepare and distribute agendas and minutes as assigned.
- Compile information for reports
- Ensure all deadlines for various reports, requests, and projects, as outlined by EDS, are met; if necessary, send out reminders
- Type various forms
- Maintain and update the Calendar of Events for the Divisional EDS
- When necessary, arrange meetings
- Responsible for accommodation arrangements for EDS Divisional Team
- Complete Business World transactions for Divisional EDS Team
- Maintain EDS Social Media accounts
- Help employees and volunteers with administrative duties during disasters
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Have post-secondary education in the office and clerical fields
- Have prior clerical/office administration experience; experience in an executive office setting an asset.
- Possess good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point
- Understand different social media platforms and how to maintain social media accounts

- Obtain a Criminal Police/Vulnerable Sector Check and clearance through The Salvation Army Internal Abuse Registry and be willing to sign the Salvation Army Code of Conduct Receipt & Acknowledgement Form
