Our Account Management Operations office is seeking a Senior Advisor, Account Management to join the team. This individual will support relationship management between Metrolinx, and internal and external stakeholders and to identify and provide advice on opportunities to facilitate an increase in ridership, and revenue through the promotion of non-transit products and services.
What will I be doing?
- Commercial/Marketing knowledge and capability, assists in identifying opportunities to increase revenue or reduce expenditures
- Develops and builds solid business relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance Metrolinx’s products and service offerings
- Completes jurisdictional and best practices analysis to ensure best-in-class programs and policies to support the account management functions
- Develops and delivers comprehensive strategic and tactical plans that align with Metrolinx business objectives to increase revenue generation
- Creates compelling business cases and presentations to communicate business opportunities to senior executives
- Maintains awareness of key trends within the transit industry and considers their impact and/or application within Metrolinx
- Leads the project management and implementation of initiatives for Account Management team under direction of the manager
- Builds and maintains relationships with corporate clients to advance and promote product and service offerings
- Networks with external groups to form business relationships and create opportunities to promote the Metrolinx brand
- Develops plans that align with Metrolinx business objectives to increase revenue generation and awareness of products and services
- Leads analysis of contracts for: returns on investment for initiatives, completing risk assessments for each partnership and providing updates to the divisional Risk Champion
- Manages account contracts, invoices and performance for compliance with contractual agreements
- Advises other employees on topics related to the incumbent’s area of expertise, but does not guide employees in their day-to day activities
What skills & qualifications do I need?
- Completion of a university or college degree in Business or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
- Minimum six (6) years’ experience in related marketing, commercial or marketing planning roles
- Training in business development, account management or marketing is an asset
- Strong commercial background a requirement
- Creativity and innovation to develop new approaches to support business development
- Broad experience in all aspects of project management and contract administration on a diverse range of commercial contracts, from inception to completion
- Relationship management and consultation skills to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to amplify the brand for use at retailer and strategic partner account meetings and conferences
- Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation skills to deliver compelling presentations to existing and new accounts
