Description:
As the new Account Executive, you will gain experience with building relationships with both new and existing clients for one of the fastest-growing, multi-trade service companies within the construction industry. Specifically, we are looking for a highly self-motivated go-getter who is looking to apply the skills and experience they have developed over the course of their career to a FUN and ENTREPRENEURIAL environment.
In this role, you will work closely with our Director, Sales & Technical Services at the Markham Head Office. This position is classified as intermediate level with the opportunity to develop into a more advanced role (Senior Account Executive) in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively prospect new business opportunities, with the main focus being Preventative Maintenance Contracts (Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing)
- Develop and maintain a strong and ongoing relationship with existing customers and prospects
- Schedule meetings and presentations with customers and prospects to determine needs and cross sell offerings
- Schedule regular touchpoints with customers to maintain relationship and source new business
- Price and Deliver on projects and opportunities
- Supporting Building/Facility, Owner/Operators/Managers for all services offered by the company
- Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
- Meet and/or exceed sales quotas
- Assisting project teams with urgent matters
- Continually review current processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Coordinate with other team members and departments internally to optimize processes, job success and sales efforts
Skills and qualifications:
- 3+ years of consultative Sales Experience is required as the services can be technical and complex
- Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing technical knowledge is preferred but not required as it can be learned on the job
- Entrepreneurial attitude, willing to own everything within your role
- Aptitude for independent problem solving
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially when in contact with clients
- The ability to follow up on issues when required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas by successfully managing customers
- Highly self-motivated
