Account Development Intern

The Account Development (AD) Intern will join the OpenText Marketing organization and will report to a Regional Account Development Manager. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual, interested in pursuing a Sales career. They will be comfortable learning new things and perform a wide range of general back-office duties to customer and prospect-facing outreach. They will have the opportunity to learn and utilize internal sales tools such as Salesforce.com, Zoom Info, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc. The purpose of this role is to provide the essential experience and knowledge needed to prepare for a full-time role as an Account Development Executive. RESPONSIBILITIES: Outbound prospecting utilizing telephone/email/LinkedIn and other Sales tools to identify prospect and customer needs while promoting OpenText solutions Conduct account research and identify net-new prospective customers Build out key contacts in our CRM database Gather insights using market data and industry intelligence to improve the data quality and knowledge around our key accounts Help manage and follow up on Marketing Qualified Leads and Events Handle customer and prospect inquiries Provide feedback on campaigns, track efforts and responses in a CRM database Strategic business development projects, as assigned General administrative duties WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL: On track to complete a bachelor’s or advanced degree Strong academic background and performance Business acumen with strong oral and written communication skills and critical thinking Positive, energetic, and competitive Creative, resourceful, and coachable Ability to multi-task and work in a face-paced environment with shifting priorities Have an interest in Sales and a desire to learn the tech industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), MS Teams, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter)
